Lauren Hembree - Instructor

Originally from Oklahoma City, Lauren Hembree began her classical ballet training under at The Academy of Ballet and Theatre Arts, a pre-professional program rooted in the Vaganova method. She has studied the Vaganova method exclusively since the age of three, building a strong technical foundation that continues to shape her teaching today.

Lauren has trained under numerous distinguished instructors, including Edward Ellison, Gelsey Kirkland, Jolanta Valeikaite, and Misty Copeland, and has furthered her education through prestigious summer intensives with Tulsa Ballet, Ellison Ballet, and The Harid Conservatory. She is certified in Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) and holds certification through the Bolshoi Ballet Academy, reflecting her commitment to excellence in classical ballet education.

After relocating to Florida, Lauren continued her dance career as a member of the Flagler College Dance Team. Since 2021, she has been dedicated to developing technically strong, artistically expressive, and confident dancers. Her teaching philosophy combines the precision of classical Vaganova training with an emphasis on functional strength, proper muscle engagement, healthy flexibility, and individualized instruction.
